Focus! It’s the first step for everything.
It took four weeks since I had the idea on this blog post versus actually starting to write the content. Most people say it is because they don’t have time or they have too many priorities. However for me, its just lack of real intention and focus to sit down and start writing.
All I needed was the focus and real intention to write.
Writing a blog post was my longtime goals. It is one of those things, where you love and striving towards something that gives you joy and a sense of accomplishment. However, there are always these shiny temporary things that become your priority making your actual goal secondary.
These temporary things make to the top priority list because it could be something essential for living the moment. But once you target your intention towards your real goal and to achieve a sense of accomplishment, you will always succeed. Focusing on that is your first step and being intentional is its fuel.
Let me tell you my story. From a long time after I got obsessed with the internet, I always wanted to read new stories and achievements of others while also share my views on what I understood from their success or failure. So I decided to write my blog. I am like most people out there, where I want to have a complete setup ready before I do something. Being a typical person, I went and brought a website domain and started working on the bells and whistles for the blog and by the time I was beginning to write, there were other priorities, and mostly laziness that is within me kicked off, and the entire thing got halted. After a long time, the process would start again and end at the same spot.
All this time I knew that what I lacked was focus and intention (you can even call it commitment). Finally, I realised my intention was not about those fancy and shiny things. But it was the thoughts and views that I wanted to share with other people.
So, here is my first post about how having a clear vision and focus got me to share my first thought.
Hope I would write more often and share my views with others.
